The 1st UK Annual Cover’s Meet-up!

The first annual Cover's meet-up, UK edition!

Hosted by YouTuber and Cove founder Adam Gary, join us for a jolly afternoon workshopping poems, open mic, networking, meeting new friends and (for those old enough) a merry pint, or any other preferred poison!

Our event will start in the beautiful St. James' Park opposite Buckingham Palace for some poetry exercises and workshops (remember to wrap up warm) before moving on to the upstairs theatre bar of The Golden Lion, one of Oscar Wilde's favourite watering holes, for an evening of dinner, open mic and networking extravaganza! There may even be a special guest or two! 😉

To begin with, we will be meeting at the information booth inside St Jame’ Park, just next to Buckingham Palace. Here is a Google maps pin and screenshot for those of you who use other apps:

After a warm-up exercise in poetry writing, you will then workshop your poem of choice. For this first part of the day, do make sure you wrap up nice and warm. If the elements make it impossible to continue our work, we will find a suitable inside space to move to. The British weather certainly keeps us on our toes, so we want to be prepared for any outcome!

After, you will head to one of Oscar Wilde’s favourite pubs: The Golden Lion - St James’s for a nice warm meal shared with new found friends and an impromptu open mic. There may even be a few fun games and prizes up for grabs! Be sure to bring plenty of material to read if you so desire!
