Do you love to fly high? Do you go for a swim? Do you walk on two feet? If you ever have a choice of terrain to travel on,would it be: Land,Sea or Sky? If so,why?

Will say yesterday, when I decided to download a game for my phone. While I initially like the game,I receive a premonition. In regards to where I will go and what I will do moving forward. I will keep you Covers guessing. For the world, rivalries. Batman V Superman: regardless of what one thinks in regard to this film,at the time, the prospect of them sharing the big screen together felt so real. Sega vs Nintendo:While I wasn't around at that time,I heard stories about how people love those eras. My version was probably Xbox vs Playstation in the 2000s,although nothing beats Mario and/or Sonic. Apple vs Microsoft:Thanks to them, now Google,Sony and LG to name a few are always trying to find ways to one up each other. And its very cool too see. So many options sometimes variety is the spice of life. Just think rivalries, when crafted right, makes storytelling quite compelling. Now what are the luckiest events that shape you or the world???

Anime, television, movies, books, even concerts, theatre productions. Literally, anything,as long as its an opening from mediums you love to consume. This opening is just example of perfection,EPIC and stupendous. I'm so proud i rented Sonic Unleash back in those blockbuster days, because: I FREAKING LOVE SONIC UNLEASHED. Unfortunately,I've never finish it,however,it's mindblowing that this cinematic was even on the Nintendo Wii. Feel free to update this thread as much as you like,as it would be cool to know amazing openings from literally anything you love. Then, now and forever.

Hello friends, you are cordially invited to the FIRST chain mail!!!!!!! The rules for this are very simple. This will start March 9th, 2022,just so the chain is finalized. If you want to participate, comment either "I'm in","I'm ready" or "Covers Rock."Because they do.Now for the rest of the rules. Each Cover will write a stanza and the chain will travel in the order that participants comment. The ones that commented one of those three phrases. The poem will be written via members chat and is finished in two ways: Every participated Cover went OR One Cover decides to break the chain. When Cover doesn't respond within 24 hours, the chain is broken and the poem is finished. The last Cover who wrote the last stanza will send that poem to the Share Your Poetry thread. BONUS TIP:Check poetry members' chat and check back to this post, just so you know who's part of the chain. So,who's in??? Any questions, ask them down below, more than happy to help.

Feel free to share,no matter how long you've been at the Cove, you deserve a round of applause for being a cool Cover. Don't get discouraged if the list is shorter than others,as the whole point is to see how far you have come. So here we go: No matter how big or small,I like to think I help poets. I said a year prior before the Cove I said I was going to help poets and two years later, now I am. Primarily as a source for encouragement, yet I think that moving traffic is more than raging on cars at a freeway. My first NAPOWRIMO.And I have @Rachel Glass to thank. I'm saddened that the Covers that were with me during that time, looks like they aren't here anymore. Because I had a blast reading poems not my own but others to read. And I did all the prompts. Even if I had to write 5 poems in one night to get caught up. NAPOWRIMO 2021 was the first taste of what the Cove can be and is today.Looking forward to what the Cove ends up becoming. Performing again, which I wasn't going to do however, after a pep talk of sorts, I performed and had a KICK ASS debut at Poetry Cove Open Mic. Then later in the year,I had perhaps the BEST performance I have done in all my 5 years doing spoken word poetry.Lets just say,if it was a poem that impacted me,I would do all I can to do the same thing. And I did, as some Covers probably have thought I embody this poet from a generation.Along with being hard to top, it's cool to know after all these years,I didn't skip a BEAT!!!!!!! Submit poetry to a radio station.Huge one. I never thought I would submit my poetry to a radio station. Let alone anything and a worldwide radio station.Yet,in the fall of last year,I did. I submitted like crazy because I wanted the station to be special.Even if my poems are everyone's least favorite poems to be listened to(as there are far more intriguing poets to listen to than this writer) I believe I had something to prove. Mainly to myself. That…. My best days are not behind me.HELL,do BEST days even exist???Because I prove I still got it.Evidence??????????My first poetry cove series. Technically second, since the first was really during NaPoWriMo 2021. I had such a BLAST creating this series, as this was the FIRST time I was tested. Not only in topics, but even poetry forms and having an audience of poets reading my work was kinda nerve wrecking. However, when all was said and done, I did what I didn't think was possible: STARTING AND FINISHING POETRY COVE SERIES!!!!!!!! Felt unreal, however, I did it and I do have @Suchita Senthil Kumar to thank, and Covers that were a part of it for leaving supportive comments. It was so surreal(AND SO CRITICALLY ACCLAIM!!!!!)That the series will return.More on that in a bit. Made a lot of poetic friends here.Honestly, this might be the BIGGEST win I had in a LONG time. For so long, I was around people that never understood me. Nor even listen to me. Do poets understand me,COMPLETELY?Not necessarily but they understand me more than physical existence and a book about….I'm not going there.Point being, poets are very special and there are none I would friend than poets of on this yellow brick road. My presence might be gone, yet my aura is here. Being C.O.O, perhaps the first C.O.O that was brought on. Quite honestly, I took this opportunity because I didn't know how to blog. And while I would love to be on the blogging team, I figure my inexperienced blogging would bring the team down. However, being C.O.O of Poetry Cove was a blessing in disguise because it's worthwhile. I gained experience from being C.O.O but more importantly, this was a mission worth embarking on. Honestly,I just know that this is a home I'm helping build. And making sure the Cove is built to its fullest capacity,is so much more important than a vanity project( AKA YouTube channel that I'm thinking of laying that to rest) I do have @Adam Gary to thank for helping me be a C.O.O.While I'm at it,I will thank @Sophie for being awesome editor/blogger and ,@The Garish Grackle for the incredible analysis. Poetry workshop happens way later but thanks to a colorful class of characters, I was able to enjoy my first poetry workshop. It did help that I had a performance coming up yet I will say, this not only helped me learn the poet's thought process but also help me understand emotion and how to tap into a specific one. And it works. Because not only was the performance worked on,my entire direction in spoken word. My most recent spoken word piece was the most brilliant 3 minutes of that night. Why? Maybe someone had chills or something. Or,just like my debut I reluctantly agreed to,all I needed was three minutes to make a statement. I do have @Ken Merchant to thank for the EPIC workshop and will drop by when I can. While I at it,I will thank @Marc Brimble for featuring my poem on his YouTube channel. And @Masie Eccles for being apart the first Poetry Cove Workshop. It wouldn't have been the same without you and cannot wait to learn more from you.Sooooooo.....anyone free on Saturday????? Talking to you Covers. Regardless if it was via forum, zoom, or member chat, I was able to chat with you guys. Even if it was for a minute. You guys are a very friendly bunch. Thank you all for putting up with my craziness. Very appreciative and can't wait to talk to new Covers in this upcoming year. I'll give a shoutout@Shen Friebe and your amazing contributions to the Cove.Along with your wonderful analysis,I'm still shock there's no book publish by you.Perhaps your debut television series will showcase your prowess. Saturday School,in fact I'm putting a poetry series together based on what I learn from the Best Hour of The Week. And it was. When? This Spring. The biggest reason for it being Best Hour of The Week is fairly simple. I BECAME A KID AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!It's refreshing to just be a kid, after years of heaviness and working NON-STOP,I just get to be a kid.And learn alot from Saturday School. About forms, performance and even editing. The teacher was incredible to learn from. Perhaps my favorite teacher,as this teacher made learning FUN, not boring academia.(YAWWWN NNNN 🥱 🥱🥱🥱🥱)excuse my modern academia yawn. What the hell was the point of those thirteen years anyway??????? Hopefully, when I find a job best suited for my limited skillset,I will take on more classes. At least for me anyway, poetry school is FUN and refreshing to go learn from and be around poets. First 100.I am one of the first 100 to ever find this place. Which is FREAKING cool!!!!!!I like to say I'm one of the founding fathers of the Cove. Might not be true, however,I'll just ignore my self doubt and believe in my hype. I made an appreciation post a while back. And while I did mean a lot of what I said,it didn't age well, unfortunately. I like to think this list proves that I didn't just twiddle my thumbs and wait, like I have done for the majority of my lifetime.I took charge. Even if reluctant at times. And I do have all you to thank. Not everyone in their young adult years can say "I'm a C.O.O of a poetry forum". I can. Which is freaking cool. Yes, thank the founders, editors and even leaders of a workshop. Honestly, everyone that read this and has been with me from NaPoWriMo 2021,to my first poetry forum post, to radio stations, to open mic hiccups to having some of the most KICK ASS performances of the year, to the first poetry cove series to the 1 year anniversary of the Poetry Cove, deserves massive thank you all for This Poetry Cove Experience. And an incredible path to be on. And it's only the first year.I do know when the forum keeps progressing, new poetic foundation is on the horizon. Happy anniversary to Poetry Cove and Continue to contribute til your heart's content my friends. 🍻 to new beginnings!!!!!!!! What are your wins,Covers??? Would 🤎 to hear them!!!

Figure a party is in order. Given the anniversary of Poetry Cove,I thought it might be fun to compile a list of amazing activities. And no worries of finances. Worst case scenario,we'll start a kick starter campaign to help us Covers party and use @Adam Gary influence to aquire the funds. So if money ain't problem, what would we do at a party. Hijack a DeLorean Drive all over the world to gather Covers. Bungee jumping Sky dive off airplane. Laser tag, since its safe. Get attack by 🐅,🐻 and 🦈.No worries guys,we'll have knight and samurai armor COVERing head to toe,we be fine. Water gun fight. Hoverboard all over metropolis, surfboard all over Atlantis and skate board at the X Game Ramp!!!!!Hell Yeah!!!!! Karaoke, cause why not, just don't expect me to sing, since my singing voice is AWFUL. Lightsaber duels on a snowy mountain Catch all the Pokemon. Help Ninja Turtles STOP Shredder and Sonic STOP Eggman. Fly with marvel and DC superheros. Poetry games, there was a game Adam play with his ❤,I don't remember actual game,I just remember Sophie won. Hijacked Hog Warts. Were more magical and mystical than those so call "Wizards". Clubbing to pretty much all the songs in the song thread and upcoming one. Attend a beach with wind blowing our hair.Swim with dolphins and drinking some whiskey. Mosh pit at a concert, and attending some plays. FINALLY.....BLOW UP places and every person evil world we deem evil so all the COVERS can walk in slow motion.....with shades 😎. What can I say? If life ain't a party, then let's build one.

If nor embarrassing, feel free to use any other adjective describing a moment. Might not be embarrassing, however, annoying. Long story short,me and a old friend of mine went on a date. After a very bazaar start(feel free to guess how it all started) And I arrive first. An hour earlier before my date, since people love guys who are first. Even back then,I still thought this way. The date arrives ANNNNNNNNDDDDDDDD Becomes unappreciated. No clue why??? Was it because I wore a black t-shirt and khaki shorts??? We were on a friendship, not relationship. Maybe because I'm boring. After all I only talk about life, poetry and dreams never realize.Even now I'm still like this. Hell,is it because we both pay for our own tickets and I didn't pay for my dates??? Okay, okay I can see how that be a HUGE turnoff. Anyway,in the end,it was actually one of the WORST days I had. My date ain't the reason why, they were cool. And they were just trying to make me happy. Its worst mainly because I could have use that time productively. At least I had an awesome UBER ride home via a conversation. I'm not cut out for dating, relationships and from that day on,I'm FOREVER OFF THE MARKET.....AND DAMN PROUD OF IT!!!!!!!!!!! So,Covers, feel free to share,if you dare.

Super Bowl 56 is coming on February 13th and thought it would be fun to share a memory from a Super Bowl, London Marathon or heck even Volleyball. My last super bowl game was Super Bowl 51. Falcons vs Patriots was incredible, primarily due to my friends reactions. Anytime Falcon score, friends drinking some whiskey, and since I didn't drink,I just drank coke. Anytime Patriots score, one person would cheer, since rest of the room was team Falcons.Once Patriots win,my friends were extremely enrage. To the point that two were fighting over the finish. Both started arguing, quite honestly,I thought a fist fight was going to go down. If my memory serve me correctly, apparently,Tom Brady cheated to win. No clue how since its football, not Fake Pro Wrestling, can any football fans clue me in how one would cheat in a football game? In any case, thankfully fist fight never happen, while I won't watch Super Bowl 56 on February 13th,it was a cool time to be alive. Bonus points: My high school friend was very upset his team lost,I was screaming my team won,and his head went down on desk.If your shaking your head at me,there's nothing wrong in representing a winning team. So Covers..... Any sports memories that you cherish?

Let your imagination flow with scenarios that a beginner poet might ask. First and foremost, just start. Don't worry too much about structure, just write what you want to write and words will come out. For performance poetry,go off the deep end.Go CRAZY.Go fast.Go slow. Just channel your crazy side and show the world that your crazy is your new genius. What about you,COVERS?

I will break my rules, only to explain how this works. Pretty much, imagine someone asking you,"how are you feeling?" And then you B.S the answer. Since, unless you fit in one's bottom line, who cares about how your feeling????? Well, instead of using words, why not use a GIF???And if GIFS aren't your thing,MEMES or EMOJIS work fine too. So Covers, use this thread to check in how your feeling today, next day or any other day. Morning, afternoon and evening. Update this if needed and if you use words, you broken the rules of this thread. Please don't break the rules, and be respectful to integrity of structure.I'm only breaking them to explain how this thread works. Remember to explain how your feeling use GIFS MEMES EM0JIS Use one, two,or all three,Covers choice.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to perhaps the most difficult form to ever been produce.......HAIKUS?????Nope?????LIMERICKS?????NANA?????Okay,Shakespearan Sonnets????? They are indeed difficult, although that's not most difficult. The most difficult....DRUM ROLL PLEASE VANILLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! So what makes this so difficult??? Glad you ask, young cover. For one they actually require alot of thought. It follows an interesting rhyme scheme of: A¹ B 1² A B A¹ A B A² A B A¹ A B A² A B A¹ A² As you can see, that's alot of straight A's. Your parents be so proud of you!!!!!! Each line not only has to rhyme, but you must figure out how each line builds upon towards final stanza. You notice before last stanza, each line has a stanza of three lines. That my friend is call a tercet.Five sets of threes and last set has four. As I said each line has to have thought. Because they all follow somewhat of structure.Think of stories or those self help videos you seen online and Vanille operates kind of same way.Except they all have to rhyme, with scheme I just mention. Dr:So Seuss Jr,want to try a Vanille??? Student:How do I know if its for me???🙁 If you are a season rhymer(just like yours truly) and you want to give this a shot,go for it!!!!!!!!!!!No harm in changing up with tradition. I always recommend following a poetic structure,as this respects the form the poet creates.Otherwise, have at it,season rhymers. If you like to challenge yourself,go for it!!!!!! There's no failure, only feedback. And you are as great as your last work of art. The best thing to do is just get started and see what happens. What if my first Vanille SUCKS??? Then you gather data. In otherwards, your only going to be better by test, learn, grow, repeat. Working, failing and gathering feedback is better than thinking, wonder and not starting, true??? That's all for today young Cover. If you like to learn more about poems and how they're written, then come onboard to..... POETRY SATURDAY SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!! At the Poetry Cove Academy. Where every Saturday, you get to learn from Social Media Influencer and Working Poet, ADAM GARY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can say, after spending time at Poetry Cove Saturday School,my passion been renew, confidence been strengthen to be working poet, and my poetry pencil has been sharpen, ready for WAR!!!!!!!!! This post was inspired by @Chris Scott What can I say,you been very inspiring Cover last and this week. I have done many poetry forms(Shakespearan Sonnets,Haikus,Limericks,Tankas, long narrative/epic poems)and other forms i will say not right now. I think one poetry form i would like to commit to is Vanille Poem. Mainly because I heard it's the hardest form to do. And thanks to insert Cover name,I actually did my first Vanille. And in the summer I did commit to haikus for a while, along with different version of a haiku,I'm very looking forward to commit next 90 days of writing strictly Vanilles!!!!! So Covers, any poetry forms your committing?

This post was influence by @Chris Scott and his wonderful post from last week. We poets are an eclectic group, aren't we? The flavor of poetry will varie, and after personal experience,I can say we all have one thing in common. What is that thing? Comment below if you think you know the answer to this The poems that influence us is the poetry we end up writing. And songs can also have the same impact.I love to think the work we produce is every cliché you can think of. And alot comes from the counsel we listen to, the stories we believe and beliefs that shape our reality.Theres a reason why influencer have the status they do.Along with people we follow.Simply put, their ways of being are relatable.Okay cool, what the HELL does this have to do with poetry????? You see friend,if you like to write poetry that speaks to you, look at your influences. Specifically social media, but off social media works well.In fact, certain types of poetry have their own influence base on time period they were created. Which is why I always recommend to be traditional first and then recreate later,so you can get the structure first and then break the rules if may. Make sure influence is authentic to what your going through,as what's going on currently, makes poem not only real but in the future,as the case with MANY mediums, someone will find your work and think WHOA,This person gets me!!!!!!!! - Insert future fan!!!!! Be brave,be bold, and as long as nobody gets hurt, use your words responsibility,my friends. Let poetry speak to one's soul and remember, your not the next -insert poet. Your the next original. Have an awesome rest of your week,COVERS!!!!!!!!!!
