If it's a poet I love, I'll binge read from cover to cover. For larger collections I usually dip in and out, mark the pages I want to revisit, etc. I always wondered this about people as well, great question!

We need more people to treat their surroundings as they would their own homes. But at the same time, I don't have high hopes for the state of their homes, if they are littering on the streets

Ehh that's hardly obscure as a pet peeve though, so I'll add, when someone refuses to use keyboard shortcuts after you've demonstrated how they make your life easier / when they leave the cursor in the middle of the screen while watching something :)

When someone rushes into an elevator without first allowing people to step out - and any other such small behaviours that communicate lack of awareness or care for other people.

Interesting questions! If there's a specific author/book I was already interested in, I'm not concerned about covers at all. Although we often say we shouldn't judge a book by its cover, the cover inevitably communicates something about the material and the author themselves (provided it wasn't created by the publisher's art department). Sometimes a good book goes unnoticed, and I'm not sure if that's the fault of a cover or where it was positioned on the shelf. Sometimes a cover will not match my expectations based solely on the title and description, and I'll be put off. But overall, if I flip through and read something worthwhile, I'll almost always give it a chance.

I know there's a correlation between sunlight and improved mood/happiness - but I find I'm generally happier during colder seasons. Rain especially is the best backdrop and soundtrack for writing! 🌨️🌨️

I've heard of people renting out cinemas for a group of their friends or family -but have no clue how much they are paying to do that, and whether that's offered by most cinemas out there or not. It definitely seems like a good idea financially for cinemas. But to answer the question - I look forward to being able to visit family and friends without fear of spreading illness (in particular my grandmother at the moment). Traveling also - I feel sorry for all who are separated from their loved ones.
