We enjoyed a productive GloPoWriMo in April. A bit of a challenge, but engaging.
Perhaps we can create a Poetry Cove Writing Month (PoCoWriMo) challenge.
Let's discuss some rules and regulations.... (and break them)
It doesn't need to be a poem written each day...
How about committing to write enough poems to create your own chapbook in the month?
Which we can share with other poets who participate here.
What do you think?
Hi there,
This sounds like such a fun and creative idea! I’d love to get involved. Writing enough poems in a month to create a chapbook is an exciting challenge, and sharing it with other poets would be a great way to connect and inspire each other.
I’m curious about how we’ll structure the month—will we have specific prompts or themes to help guide the writing, or will it be more open-ended? Also, how do you envision the sharing process? Will we post our poems here as we go, or wait until the end to share the full chapbooks?
I’m definitely on board and eager to hear more about how we can make this happen!
Best, MariaL
Okay folks, am almost finished writing the threads for September, so head on over and take a look! September is going to be WILD
Working on the Cover for PoCoChapMo
Will I need to download kindle create to participate? Will the poems be put onto a poetry cove thread?
I like it. In the prompts I enjoyd the topic and the image to give options. I think a fun one for us that enjoy the challenge of structure would be an optional form added aswell to give us three things to pick from or blend as we see fit. And the idea to fill a chapbook is great. I love the zine medium.
Here are a few more thoughts...

### Final Thoughts
By structuring PoCoChapMo with these detailed steps and additional offerings, we can create an engaging, supportive, and productive environment for poets to thrive and achieve their creative goals. Let me know if you need further refinement or additional details on any aspect!
Yes I would like to do that. When you say chapbook, do you mean just the number of poems or that each poem has a link to each of others. Hope that last sentence makes sense, what I was thinking of was Jeff Taylor's presentation of Chapbooks. He reads the last poem and then the first, challenges you to work out how the poet created the travel between the two poems.
Hehe perhaps a PoCoChapMo!?
I am always happy to explore ideas! I think Chapbook sized projects might be a good idea!
