Don't judge me. I used to love the Jonas Brothers
I don't show my feminine side of myself very often, but I can't count how many times this song has been my go to when I've gone through a bout. Also, please let me know if this is a Virgo thing... Note: I've experienced both sides of this song.
One of those songs that change me.
Because it did.
Through one of my darkest hours, this song show me not just what my life had become, but who I decide to be and what I choose to give myself. Along with being okay with where I am at.
Start over, start new and change my ending.
If you like this song, check out their material.
In the mood for some swing lately. Anyone else wanna jive?
Song of the day, really for a while:
They appear to be a relatively new band,so if you like what you hear check them out. This song, along with few I may share soon, inspire some of my most recent poem, such as the Rose poem I read at Cove Open Mic.
Today’s song:
A bit cheesy but it is a musical and an absolute beast of a song regardless in my opinion!
I felt this song was appropriate given the state of things lately. Also, just in general, it is a great song. Side note - I've been on a Nickelback binge all day today! 🤘🏻
This one too...
Today's song for me. Never can get enough of this one.
Today's song of the day for me:
Good choice. There's a lot in this song that resonates with me.
Here come the M - I - B's! Clap, clap!
Just a little playlist project that I've recently taken up. Give it a listen if you'd like!
Just in that chillin' kind of vibe today. How about y'all?
I know this is a cover (or at least, I think it is) but it gives me chills. It was used on an episode of The 100 and I can't listen to this without crying.
Here's a feel-good track for the beginning of your weekend. Enjoy!
This song is giving me so much life right now
If you love interesting characters, check out this feller here! This guy gets me stepping in the morning
Not to be a downer or anything, but I'm electing this as my contribution to Valentine's Day. Here's to my fourth Valentine's day single! Cheers! 🥂 I'll just be slow dancing with my pillow dreaming of my dream girl. 🤣
Wow look at all the music in this thread! I love it! I have been listening to these for the past month. Mandolin oranges cover of Bob Dylans classic is the most moving thing I have ever heard. It is the only thing can bring me to tears anymore! Hits way too close to home (headphones recommended to swim in the fiddle) . Followed by Townes Van Zandt's "I'll be here in the morning". Cheers
Well today Sophie and I celebrate our 1st anniversary!
A couple of our songs for today:
Well, I wouldn't be the Cove's resident Swiftie if I didn't share her newest song with Ed Sheeran.
Perhaps I'd prefer to bypass all this Valentine's Day mockery and jump straight into a month full of shenanigans! This song always has me hoping for a trip to the pub.
Ever since I heard the Beach Boys style cover of Apple Bottom Jeans, I can't get this out of my head.
I mean... A 2000s classic right here.
I found myself commenting on everyone else today and almost forgot to post my own. So this is the song I think hits the right spot for today. Just in case there is a regional issue (which I've been seeing more frequently) the song is House of Noise performed by Massive Wagons.
Throwing it back to S Club 7
Song of the day, or at least the morning.
Puppy on my chest, lighter mornings, coffee and Bonamassa
Maybe not today's song per se, but definitely one that commonly occurs and is expressionable for me from time to time... *deep breath* I don't share my soft side very often, but just want folks to know that depression is something that can come in waves rather than be a persistent condition. I'm officially two days sober since the last episode.
Let's bring some country into the Cove!
Have been listening to these at my desk last 2 weeks!
I figured out little Harry loves falling asleep to blues!
Alright, alright. I know! McFly? I've loved them since I was ten and I just bought tickets to see them in July.
My friend Sean has adapted my poem Revengé into a psychobilly track. He has added a great chorus and arrangement! His band the Weedwackers love it and will be adding a guitar and mouth harp solo to give it even more of an ominous feel!
My original poem
Revengé I wanna slit your throat I gonna use my knife I wanna shag your sheep Have you seen your wife?? I wanna break your toes I Gonna use my vice I wanna use soft jaws Cos' I'm so nice I wanna break your face I gonna use some stones I wanna empty the beach I gonna break your bones I wanna grind your bones Feed em' to a baboon I wanna use their shit Make my flowers bloom I wanna boil your flesh I gonna make some soup I wanna feed your friends I gonna make em' puke I gonna piss on your grave I wanna make sure that you know it I not a psychopath I just a psychopathic poet

With spring right around the corner, and me missing being by the ocean during the warmer months, this is the perfect song to meld my summertime sadness.
I don't know if anyone has heard this. It's gone a bit viral on tiktok but I'm really into it.
This recording is dear to my Welsh heart. ❤
My Grampy touring Australia with the best Male Voice Choir! Treorchy. He loved singing! I definitely haven't been blessed with a beautiful singing voice like my Grandad but definitely his love of music and verse! Miss him!
This song popped up on my youtube recommends. I haven't heard it in so long and it still makes me cry.
Wendy O. Williams was way ahead of her time.
I even wrote a poem dedicated to her (shameless self-promotion, sorry) called 'The Squirrel Feeder' which you're not obliged to read, of course:
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Black Summer
Back in form with guitarist John Frusciante back in the fold!
I may have to invest in some new vinyl!
What do you think Rock n Rolla's?
Today's song of the day for me is
Any Bill & Ted fans out there?
Definitely my song for today! Volume 11 (hoping for some spinal tap fans to come through)
As Ken brought some nice 80s rock vibes, my song of the day is:
Although this could seem a dig at the crappy political situation in the UK at the moment, it’s more a case that I’m locked in a battle with some demon neighbours who broke into my car on Monday, and trying to convince my police to do something about it - who are proving to be about as useful as a soaked through blanket in a tent with a gaping hole in the roof… on a camping trip in winter atop a mountain in a thunderous snowstorm…
Heading into the desk job like...
For me, this song is the essence of the 70s:
Honorable mentions to one of my fav movies of all time:
RIP Meatloaf
Today's song of the day for me:
Woke up today singing "She's practically perfect!"
@Adam Gary This is an Australian classic I heard the other day that I hadn't heard in a while. Not sure if you would have heard it in your neck of the woods, but it's worth a share! I'm listening to it now while I work from home :P
Today’s song of the day for Sophie and I as we leave Stratford and head back to the big smoke:
Today’s song of the day for me shall be:
Yas, let's keep this thread going. Here's one of my fav tunes of the week, Dope Lemon's 'God's Machete':
My song of the day has gotta be stubborn love - the Lumineers
”it’s better feel to pain, than never feel at all” ugh such a golden line.
Im a big Randy Rainbow fan, so i usually catch myself singing one of his parody songs as a way to relieve the unending tension I feel from the news, the politics and the outragious behaviors of the powerful. I'm still singing "Hey Gurl, It's Christmas!" as a way to soothe my soul regarding the very real tensions in the USA.
I always feel like apologizing to the world for our part in causing so much trouble. I know we don't want to get political here but as a human being, i just wish we would learn to care for the Earth and all her creations. When will we ever learn!!! (A line from one of my all time favorite songs: " Where Have All The Flowers Gone?" )
Happy New Year all! I just discovered this today on Spotify's Discover Weekly. Hope you enjoy it also:
For everyone’s listening pleasure.
Also please teach me fashion 😂 You’re one sharply dressed mo f!
