Welcome home!
At The Poetry Cove Forum, we are dedicated to bringing together poets from all over the world. We believe that poetry can be a powerful tool for connection and community, and we want you to have a place where you can explore your craft in an environment that is friendly, welcoming, and supportive.
We are committed to providing this space for you because we believe that everyone deserves a chance to express themselves creatively and share their work with others who share their interests.
We hope you will join us in creating an open-minded, accepting, and supportive community of people who can help each other grow as poets.
Thank you so much for sharing your work here—it’s always inspiring to see poets put their voice out into the world, even without formal membership. Creativity should never be limited by barriers, and your willingness to share is a testament to your passion.
If you’re ever thinking about taking your poetry further, you might want to explore book publishing services tailored for poets. Many of them offer affordable packages and even help with formatting and distribution, making it possible to publish a poetry collection independently. It’s a great way to give your work a broader platform, especially if joining spaces like this one isn’t an option right now.
Looking forward to reading your pieces—please keep posting!
Here is what I call a linked Lune. I have taken the last line of the first lune as the beginning line of the second, and it worked. Adam posted a short on Youtube about the Lune, and i just experimented with it to see what could be done. This is my first attempt at both a Lune and my rendition of it.
Claims of Common Sense
We find ourselves here
in moments
we don’t understand
how it is
things happen so fast
insofar
as particulars
resonate
inspiring others
advocate
certain ideals
as harbored
secrets that might be
something new,
discovered,
or found to be lost
among things
we take for granted,
given we’re
gullible creatures
who don’t have
proper coping skills,
by instinct,
but possess some skills
learned early,
whether that’s in vogue,
has bearing,
is applicable,
or might find
there are instances
where sense claims
ownership of all
A Prophet’s View
A lumiere traverses velvet—
sky a-shimmer in magic molt,
a fabrication cemented in a pastiche
of petrified porcupines, perhaps,
but not without Anglified spirits.
It’s forgotten us, or we it, as has been
the carte-blanche of our assignations.
Whatever the soul-bending hoopla,
there never was a more splendiferous
meme in which to regard the orb.
