For me,I would say making my first IG LIVE.
I decided to do this to break monotony of my content and do something different.
And IG LIVE was it.
Happen today, uncomfortable part came with change plan on the fly.
I was going to do AMA(Ask Me Anything),instead, because I didn't have questions from my followers at all,I change it to PR(Poetry Reading). And this turn out incredible, least for me.Video cut out twice, but was awesome to do something fresh.Thanking my one year of FB LIVES creation and LIVE theatre for this IG LIVE.
For the record, you wouldn't be able to find FB LIVES due to them being in FB groups.
And IG LIVE,since I save and discard straight after.
While incredible to do,did hear some things about Instagram direction moving forward.Which may force me to go make exclusive content moving forward(mainly Tik Tok for poetry video content and IG for posts and stories)
Quite honestly,I am creating for me,no one else and finally feels amazing to create again.
I going to create and if people want to follow, they will follow. If don't,don't.
I choose to not to succumb to algorithm and create what I choose to create, even uncomfortable at times.
Today's first IG LIVE was result of this realization and glad I took chance on myself.
In any event, poetry wise, whats something new you done recently that your proud of?
Joining poetry community?Virtual open mic?
New kind of poetry(Haiku,Limerick,Arostic)?
Submit to publication?Record for poetry cove radio?Anything not listed, doesn't matter, let's celebrate your win!!!!!!!!!!!!
First of all congratulations, for being able to put forward your poetry for your followers, I confess for myself to have been able to make a series of Facebook live for a book club called An Astronaut in Bohemia in French and Spanish in order to confront the two languages. Despite the stage fright, it was an incredible experience to be able to work on a book and on the nuances of language.
Daddy Cover 😎
Seeing so many poets around the world flourish here and get to meet other amazing poets!
I am a proud daddy!
I’ve been fortunate to have several! I organized a poetry reading at a local coffee shop back in 2019 with a few other poets, fully expecting there to be five or six attendees...but we had about 30 people there! It was a huge moment of pride.
other than that, each publication is its own victory, and a reminder that the words we write do impact people. When an wditor accepts a poem, they’re saying “yes, people will read this. I want them to feel what it made ME feel.” and that’s why I do this - to make people feel something.
