Welcome home!

At The Poetry Cove Forum, we are dedicated to bringing together poets from all over the world. We believe that poetry can be a powerful tool for connection and community, and we want you to have a place where you can explore your craft in an environment that is friendly, welcoming, and supportive.

We are committed to providing this space for you because we believe that everyone deserves a chance to express themselves creatively and share their work with others who share their interests.

We hope you will join us in creating an open-minded, accepting, and supportive community of people who can help each other grow as poets.

Guys! It's live. Check out this awesome shirt
Ah! The end is in sight! I'm so proud of you all!
Almost there guys! I couldn't be prouder of you all and wishing you all the creative juices in the world to reach the finish line! 4 DAYS LEFT!
Hey folks, I hope everyone's NaPoWriMo has been going well, and you're not all bummed down quite yet as we near the final stretch. So I don't know if everyone will get this, so I'll tag you all in this comment, but I'm doing a NaPoWriMo Wrap Up post on the blog for the 28th, so I was wondering if anyone would like to pitch in and help me with my research.
The blog post will include commentary on individuals' insights on NaPoWriMo on The Poetry Cove this year. Think of it as a short survey/interview. Also, I wanted to have a poem from anyone who will oblige me in this endeavor, but I require your permission first, which is why I am asking.
The submitted poem has to be one that you wrote during the NaPoWriMo event. That is fine if you don't know what one you'd like to submit to the blog. I can choose one for you if you'd like. Just please let me know.
If you'd like to participate, please DM me using the Member's Chat feature, as I don't always receive notifications from the Forum end of things. Thank you, everyone, for your patronage!
Would all folks willing to participate in this blog post, please respond to this correspondence by no later than Tuesday 26th of April. Any response after this time I will not consider because I have deadlines to adhere to. Thank you for understanding and I hope to hear from you all!
Below is everyone I found who participated in the event this year. If I missed anyone, please let me know.
@Pokerpoet Sorrowsong @Nabie Tarawally @Rob Edwards @Marc Brimble @Rachel Glass @Shen Friebe @Jay Ehros Rosing @Bendy Nguyen @h.e. haugenes @Ainul Nadjamuddin
Also, you're all amazing and I love you all!
Hey NaPoWriMers! I had this cool idea of creating a shirt or jumper for everyone that took part in NaPoWriMo22? Something like 'I survived NaPoWriMo22' with every Cover who participated having their name on the back. Is this something anyone would like to collect?
You guys are super impressive! How are you all hanging in there? Aside from googling tree hernias @Shen Friebe 😉
Just wanted to drop a line to say how amazing you all are! I'm loving your poems so much!
Well done fellow scribblers. We have made it to the second week. For me so far it hasn't been too difficult, but I guess I cheated a little with a blackout and a haiku, but I have good excuses. I work till 9.30pm every day and have weird lunch hours and siestas!!
I am super impressed with all the poems I have read by you guys and am proud to be working with you all, even if it is only in 2 dimensional space!!!
Well done everyone! Day 4 today and I am just … LOVING reading all your poems inspired by @Rachel Glass prompt and otherwise!
Believe it or not making it to day 4 is a big achievement! You’re still committed and part of the marathon so don’t take it lightly, WELL DONE! I have yet to even start as my new job is keeping me away, but I have a nice long flight tomorrow where I hope to catch up.
This is just me saying well done to those who are sticking to their daily poem and am that I’m super proud of you all!
Congrats to all the Covers who kicked off April with a bang. So many poems already in the NaPoWriMo Poems thread.
Just a reminder that I'll be hosting a write in tomorrow night at 8:30PM BST in Writing Room 1 on Discord. An hour of quiet focussed writing in the company of other focussed writers. No pressure. You don't have to have your camera on and you don't have to share anything. It's just an opportunity to write with other Covers.
Gathering the poets:
@Pokerpoet Sorrowsong @Marc Brimble @Rachel Glass @Bendy Nguyen
@Rob Edwards fancy embarking on this challenge with us?
EXCITINGLY CLOSE NOW!
Alright, I'm committing. After the success of the zoom write in (hosted by @Adam Gary ), I'm putting forward this possible schedule (all hosted on Discord)
Monday 8PM BST - Write In. Gather for however long you want. Work on that poem in a space with others that are focussed on poetry. Edit a poem, read a poem. I can prompts (this is me, of course I can bring prompts)
Tuesday 9PM BST - Write In
Wednesday 8PM BST - Generative Workshop. To get us over 'hump day', I'll bring a few poems and give a few gentle prompts to hopefully get a poem or two down on paper. (I'm thinking just an hour)
Saturday 9PM BST - Write In
Of course, you don't need me. You can log into any of the writing rooms at any point (these are just the days/times that I know I should be online) but I think it'll be great to all get together and show some support.
I'm also thinking that we should have an open mic night early May to celebrate the end of NaPoWriMo.
I'm definitely up for this!

Okay, roll call! Who's in!?
