Welcome home!
At The Poetry Cove Forum, we are dedicated to bringing together poets from all over the world. We believe that poetry can be a powerful tool for connection and community, and we want you to have a place where you can explore your craft in an environment that is friendly, welcoming, and supportive.
We are committed to providing this space for you because we believe that everyone deserves a chance to express themselves creatively and share their work with others who share their interests.
We hope you will join us in creating an open-minded, accepting, and supportive community of people who can help each other grow as poets.

What would it take for you to create a video reading a selection of poems from GloPoWriMo? Something from everybody, perhaps.
WOOOOHOOOOOO! It’s officially the last day of GloPoWriMo ‘24 guys! I’m so proud of all of you who took part, whether you wrote 30 poems, 1 poem or anything in between! You got up and you did it!
I have to say a special congratulations to @Yvonne Calder and @Herb Hagell , you have really inspired me this month, apologies I wasn’t running alongside you, but I was definitely cheering for you the entire way!
How do you all feel now you have reached the finish line? I think it’s important to remind ourselves how this all came about. The evening of March 31st on livestream we decided to do this starting the very next day, which is crazy to think back on now 😂 GloPoWriMo us usually takes an entire month of March just physchomogically preparing and amping up for!
As with previous years, I will leave this thread open for the first week of May, for anybody who wishes to express their thoughts and such here and then the thread will be archived. Which means nobody will be able to comment on any of the threads, but you will be able to come back at any time and read everything that’s has been said and posted etc.
Well done guys, you did it!
Shoot! I'm a couple of days behind this challenge tears at my mind
I don't mean to sound unkind I wonder how i will find the time for more GloPoWriMo lines
Hey guys! The forum has been quiet so I just wanted to give you all another little push. You’re soooo close! Remember that spark of inspiration and motivation you had when you first figured you would take part in GloPoWriMo! There are literally just 7 days left! You’ve done all of the heavy lifting, so dig deep, YOU CAN DO THIS GUYS!
Think about the relief you’ll feel when you get to the last day and can look at the wealth of work you have created over the last month!
Don’t. Stop. Now!
Well guys, just a few more days left of week 3! 😱😱😱
Monday we turn the corner into the homestretch! How is everybody feeling? What were your observations this week? You’ve all done bloody fantastic, truly! At the start of the month I told you all it was a marathon and it’s around this time people really begin to feel the strain. So hang on, keep going, you’re almost there!
Thanks for giving me wonderful reading material each morning whilst I sit on my security desk at work!
Dig deep, you’re almost there!
Half way through the month ( and a couple of make-up days to go). I'm inspired to collect the April poems into a chapbook. Anybody else have this urge?
We are now approaching the end of week 2, and I am blown away by all of you who are participating. Unfortunately, if we are to continue down the marathon metaphor, Adam Gary twisted his ankle not too far from the starting line! But I am truly amazed by all of your hard work and I will continue to be cheering you on from the stands as we hit the half way mark (and for the rest of the month of course!)
How are you all feeling? Any observations or thoughts about your participation? Anything you’d like to talk about as we say goodbye to week 2 and welcome in our THIRD week!? Wow!
We’re coming to the end of the first week. How is everyone feeling? I keep having to remind myself that this was decided last minute on a stream and not to keep beating myself up because I am struggling to find time to sit down and pen something. @Yvonne Calder thanks for being the forum cheerleader this week and keeping me grounded
Well that didn’t take me long! I have fallen behind on day 2, already!
I will try to write two tomorrow to catch up! Sorry guys
Hello everybody! This time yesterday I had no idea the mammoth mountain that stands firm ahead of us! But after last night’s stream the merry band of rogue poets, or as @Herb Hagell called us: the Band of Bastard Bards, here we are at the starting line of GloPoWriMo.
I wanted to take this opportunity to remind everyone that we went into this marathon completely under prepared, so if at some point during this (and you will, I'm certain of it... it's a long arduous task to complete NaPoWriMo) if you feel like giving up, or you're beating yourself up because you missed a day or falling behind, just remember how last minute we all decided to take part. This dedicated thread is supposed to be a support network, so use this to reach out. We will all need to lean on each other at some point, and help one another keep pushing through!
With all that being said, happy GloPoWriMo!
Ready? Set. Go!
